Matt Gold

Singer, songwriter, and photographer – Matt Gold‘s creative talents shine through in all that he does. His music career began when he was 18 years old. A self-taught pianist, Matt’s musical expertise comes not from a book or institution, but from countless hours in the studio and performing live throughout the Bloomington, Indiana area. Gold’s sound has evolved and grown with him over the years from his angrier early work, to a more coffee shop-friendly neo-folk style, culminating in the exquisite black and white video for “Void” – the longing comes pouring out of the screen, buoyed by Matt’s tender vocals. Matt’s latest collection, Drown Before You Swim, showcases an artist coming fully into his own. Give a listen to “Ordinary” while you read, and you’ll hear that he’s anything but.
